Rain (Lorraine Petersen)
I realized how much I loved old things and the thrill of the hunt when I was in the third grade. My school held a White Elephant sale, and I recall the excitement I experienced as I looked across the tables cluttered with everyone's castoffs. Which treasure was waiting for me? I ended up buying some old pot holders which I gave to my Mom, and I was hooked for life. I still get that same rush of adrenaline when shopping for antiques.
Since I began my antiques business, my goal has been to find beautiful objects and pass them along to new homes where they are loved and appreciated. It gives me great pleasure to buy something I think is fabulous and discover that someone else feels the same way, also. Pictured here is a photo of a beautifully decorated Victorian cachepot and some vintage hatboxes from the Helen Mackay Shop in Berkeley.
In addition to paintings, china and silver, I adore antique linens, buttons and ribbons, and always have a good variety of these items for sale. You can also expect to find a wonderfully eclectic selection of jewelry and other very dear small objects in my showcase.
